Kid-Friendly Immunity Juice

Ingredients

  • 2 oranges (peeled)
  • 2 lemons (peeled)
  • 1 large carrot (chopped)
  • 100 g fresh ginger (increase to 150g if you like it spicy)
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric (increase to 2-3 tsp if used to this flavour)
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper (ground)
  • 2 tsp coconut oil
  • 250 ml water (or 2 cups if you want it thinner)

Instructions 

  • Chop your ingredients into smaller pieces to fit in your blender.
  • Add all ingredients to the blender and blend until completely smooth.
  • Taste and adjust water if needed to reach your desired consistency
  • Serve immediately, or pour into small jars or bottles (you can strain at this stage if you prefer) and store in the fridge for up to 3 days. You can also freeze these into ice cubes to use for immunity teas.
  • To serve to kids, this is best diluted so they can gradually build up their taste for it - we do this by blending one shot with an extra orange and a splash of water.

Storage

Store in the fridge for 3 days, or freeze in ice cubes to use for tea or smoothies for up to 2 months.
