Bliss balls are one of my favourite go-to snacks for babies, toddlers, and busy parents. They are quick to make, easy to pack, and filled with nourishing whole-food ingredients. Unlike store-bought snacks that often come with hidden sugars and additives, homemade bliss balls let you control exactly what goes in. They are soft enough for little ones to enjoy, naturally sweet from fruit, and a great way to sneak in extra nutrients.
These apple pie bliss balls get their flavour from freeze-dried apple pieces, which give a big hit of natural apple sweetness without the browning or mushiness that happens with fresh apples. It makes them not only tasty but also convenient, especially when you want a wholesome snack ready in minutes.
Whether you are packing lunchboxes, preparing BLW snacks, or just looking for something the whole family will love, these bliss balls tick every box. Plus, they’re freezer-friendly, so you can always have healthy snacks on hand for those hungry toddler moments.

Apple Pie Bliss Balls
Ingredients
- 85 g rolled oats
- 50 g raisins
- 75 g raw cashews (soaked in hot water for 30 mins then rinsed and drained)
- 25 g desiccated coconut
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 20 g freeze dried apple
- 1 tbsp water (if needed to help it blend)
To roll:
- 10 g freeze dried apple
Instructions
- Add the oats, cashews or sunflower seeds, and coconut to a food processor and blitz until crumbly.
- Add the cinnamon, sultanas, and Bellamy’s Organic apple snacks. Blend until a large sticky ball forms. If the mix isn’t coming together, add 1–2 Tbsp of water, a little splash at a time.
- Remove the mix from the food processor and place on a plate.
- Blend half a packet of Bellamy’s Organic apple snacks into a powder. If you don’t have a blender, crush them in the bag with a rolling pin. Pour the powder onto a plate.
- Take 1 Tbsp of the mixture in your hands and roll into balls, then coat in the apple powder.
- Leave to firm up for 10 minutes before serving.

Hi, do you think it’s possible to make this recipe with raw apples too?
Yes! They are just a bit softer, so you can add extra oats if needed. I’d try one diced apple in sub of the dried, and you won’t need the extra water to blend. You could roll these in dessicated coconut too!
Can i substitute something else in place of the oats??
You could try quinoa flakes as a 1:1 swap 🙂
