3 Ingredient Vegan Waffles
Equipment
- Waffle maker
Ingredients
- 120 g oat flour (blended oats; certified Gluten-free if needed)
- 1 large banana (110 g peeled weight)
- 170 ml soy milk (or other plant milk)
- 1 tsp baking powder (optional for a little extra rise)
- 1 tsp coconut oil (or olive; optional if your waffle maker needs it)
Flavour Variations: blend into the mixture.
- 1 tbsp cacao powder (for chocolate waffles - for under 24 months sub with carob powder)
- 1 tbsp raspberry powder (for berry waffles - or 1/3 cup of fresh or frozen berries. Can use bluberry or strawberry powder also)
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until completely smooth.
- Preheat your waffle maker.
- Cook according to your waffle maker instructions (we use the GreenPan waffle maker on the waffle setting, level 4, for 6 minutes).
- Enjoy!
Storage
Store leftovers at room temp for 2 days, in the fridge for up to 5 days, or freeze for up to 2 months. To Freeze: Lay cooked waffles flat on a baking tray and freeze for one hour. Transfer to a bread bag or airtight container. Reheat straight from frozen in the toaster.Did you make this recipe?

I love this simple waffle recipe! My 2.5 year old is allergic to eggs, dairy, soy (I substitute with pea milk), nuts and the list goes on! So being able to make these for him to enjoy is a huge treat. They don’t take long at all to mix up or cook and I can make some extra for the week to eat or freeze <3.
I like that they can be eaten without anything added in case I don't have berries or cocoa on hand but love that they are just a delicious if I do have them to be added in!
