These require 3 ingredients, minimal time, and are a good snack for toddlers and adults (we love dipping ours in a tomato sauce made just from tomato paste, garlic powder & water). They are a nice and healthy alternative to the frozen potato varieties, and they taste like mini cauliflower cheese bites.
This makes 24 tots, so you could halve the size of them if you preferred but this is a large safer size for small hands.
These are suitable from 6 months.

3 Ingredient Cauliflower Tots
Ingredients
- 500 g cauliflower (florets, we used frozen)
- 50 g vegan cheese (grated)
- 100 g breadcrumbs
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder (optional flavour boost)
- 1/4 tsp onion powder (optional flavour boost)
- Pinch sea salt (omit for under 12 months)
Instructions
- Add the cauliflower to a pot and cover with boiling water, cooking on med-High for 10 mins until soft.
- Drain well to remove all the excess liquid - this will ensure they don’t go too soggy, you can squeeze the cauliflower at this stage too if its too wet.
- Preheat the oven to 180c/350f.
- Add the cauliflower to a large bowl and mash with a fork to remove lumps.
- Add all the remaining ingredients and stir to combine. Use ~ 1 large Tbsp of the mix and form in your hands in to the tots shape. This makes approx 24 tots.
- Place the tots on a baking sheet, spray the tops with olive oil, and cook for 35-40 minutes until golden, gently turning halfway.
Storage
Store in the fridge for 3 days or freezer for 2 months.Notes

So simple and tasty! I ate half of them before the baby came home 😅 Made them with brocolli and potato this week as we had it left over, also delicious!
They sound great! Would they work without vegan cheese? Not really a fan of those…. Just wondering whether I should substitute anything else to help bind them?? Thanks for all the lovely recipes 🙂
You can omit it, you could add a Tbsp of ground flaxseed or 1/4 cup of mashed potato would work to help bind also x
Thanks you!!
Just made this for my little guy and he LOVED them! He’s never liked broccoli until now 🙂 So simple and delicious. I’m definitely snacking on the leftovers 🙂
