These 3 ingredient vegan Rice Krispies are a healthy alternative snack for toddlers. Suitable from 12 months, these make for a great lunchbox addition (you can make this nut-free by substituting with tahini or sunflower seed butter).

Healthy Rice Krispies

Ingredients

  • 150 g peanut butter
  • 80 ml maple syrup 
  • 100 g puffed rice

Instructions 

  • In a large bowl, stir together the nut butter and maple syrup.
  • Add the puffed rice, and gently stir to combine.
  • Pour the mix out onto baking paper, gently pressing to a large square shape, around 1cm in thickness.
  • Place the sheet on a tray or plate and refrigerate for one hour until set.
  • Remove from the fridge and cut into squares.
  • Enjoy.

Storage

Store in an airtight container for up to one week.

    Can carob powder be added to this? If so how much please 🙂

      Hi that would be a great addition. I would think 1/3 cup would go nicely. You may need a little extra wet ingredients such as a Tbsp more of nut butter or maple syrup to adjust x
